Mulubinda (Hyde Park)

Designed and built by Bakker Homes, One Hyde Park Bayside began with an ambitious brief: create a luxurious tri-level home that maximised the panoramic views across Port Stephens while delivering generous, connected spaces for family living and entertaining.

The site presented significant challenges from the outset, including a steep slope, substantial granite rock and restricted access. Rather than compromise the design, these constraints were resolved through careful planning and an adaptable construction approach.

One of the greatest engineering challenges was constructing a 48,000-litre swimming pool on the upper level, completely suspended above a bedroom below.

Changes during construction were also incorporated without compromising the overall vision. With Graeme Bakker both designing and building the home, decisions could be resolved directly on site, allowing the project to evolve while maintaining architectural integrity and exceptional attention to detail.
