Mulubinda Two Storey

Set high on a steep Corlette block overlooking the bay, the vision was clear: create a relaxed coastal family home that maximised the extraordinary views while working intelligently with a challenging site. Rather than fight the slope, Bakker Homes designed the home so the rear connects at ground level while the elevated living areas capture uninterrupted water views.

The steep terrain made construction complex, while the design continued to evolve throughout the build. Steel balcony posts were replaced with substantial 300x300 Blackbutt posts that required craning into position, and new ideas were incorporated as the home took shape.

Bakker Homes’ combined design-and-build expertise allowed challenges and changes to be resolved on site without compromising the original vision. The result is a highly considered home filled with natural light, connected indoor-outdoor spaces and spectacular bay views—a true forever home.House featured in Hunter Lifestyle Magazine - Coastal Dream
